Stella Berlanga

Born in Valencia, Spain, Stella Berlanga comes from an aristocratic lineage deeply rooted in intellectual, artistic, and cultural heritage, as well as in navigation, politics, and the military.

Raised between Central and South America, she was immersed from an early age in a world of innovation and refinement. Her father, a distinguished military engineer and architect, pioneered advancements in construction, developing numerous patents in reinforced concrete. Her mother, of Sephardic origin, was a cultivated and accomplished musician and educator, fluent in several languages and dedicated to the transmission of knowledge in the arts, humanities, and sciences. It was she who first recognized Stella’s exceptional artistic sensitivity and nurtured the refined environment that shaped her creative destiny.

Stella Berlanga pursued studies in architecture, languages, natural sciences, and international trade before continuing her artistic formation at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Carlos, at the Polytechnic University of Valencia.

A multidisciplinary artist, she expresses her vision through design, goldsmithing, writing, sculpture, and figurative painting, with a particular mastery in portraiture. Her early passion for jewelry quickly distinguished her, leading to participation in numerous exhibitions and monographic showcases. At just twenty years of age, she was awarded the Medal of Artistic Merit.

Her visionary approach to figurative jewelry design soon captivated the prestigious House of CARRERA Y CARRERA in the late 1970s. This collaboration marked the beginning of an extraordinary creative journey, giving rise to iconic collections and celebrated bestsellers that propelled the Madrid-based Maison to the forefront of international high jewelry.

In the mid-1990s, Stella Berlanga chose to follow an independent path, dedicating the entirety of her figurative creations exclusively to her own name. Her boundless creativity and intellectual curiosity have led her to explore a wide range of artistic expressions, including screenwriting for film, radio, and television, as well as cultural broadcasting centered on nature, art, and human values.

Her universe draws constant inspiration from nature, music, the visual arts, archaeology, Egyptology, and ancient civilizations. In literature, her work unfolds through narrative, essays, research, and poetic prose.

Distinguished by a singular and unmistakable style, internationally acclaimed, Stella Berlanga’s creations embody a rare synthesis of artistic excellence, technical mastery, and visionary imagination.

Her collections of fine jewelry and goldsmithing are conceived exclusively under her signature:
